My camaro is an original 327 rallysport, automatic, lemans blue with a black vinyl top and black standard interior. I've always wanted to put together a zl1 tribute car to cruise and race in the pure stocks. 69 zl1 camaros were built in 1969 and car #55 is my motivation. It is the most highly optioned zl1 camaro built being a lemans blue rallysport 4 speed with a white vinyl top and white standard interior. Today it is still an original survivor with 8000 miles.
My car is a nice driver and was repainted by a previous owner back in 2000. I've had the top replaced and had new seat covers and door panels from Legendary installed. The wheels are Wheel Vintiques type 62s which are very close to the original "xt" wheels. I have all of the engine parts minus a new 053 zl1 block. Nos 074 heads, new factory crossdrilled crank, new 4296 Holley carb, new TRW zl1 replacement 50cc dome pistons, etc. I have an original 69 052 zl1 block but I don't want to use it for this combination as some have had reliability problems. The car will get an autogear supercased m22 4 speed, centerforce dual friction clutch, pypes crossflow exhaust and a moser 12 bolt rear.
