New Race Class- SuperCar Stock Class

We want to start by saying Thank You, to all that have given input on the web and thru the many E-mails and phone calls we have fielded. With all of the great input we have received on the forming of the SuperCar Stock Series, we are ready to introduce our finalized 2011 and beyond SuperCar Stock Class Rules.

We want to start by saying, this class has been formed for guys who want to go out on treaded polyglas tires, have some fun, and use their Stock Musclecars the way God and Detroit intended.

We want you to know and understand that once our rules are in place, we promise you, our current and future racers, No Rules Changes till the 2013 season. What this means is that in 2012, we will look at our accomplishments and our challenges in the Stock class and decide if any changes may need to be made to continue to keep our series growing going strong.

We had a vision to be the leaders in Factory Appearing MuscleCar Racing. Our in vision is to now include a Stock class in the SuperCar Series and lead the way. Most important we want everyone to know, we give you a fair playing field for all to participate, with one set of rules for everyone to follow. We will be fair and consistent with our rules and judgments, creating exciting and competitive racing at every E/T level. Our racers are welcome to race in other venues in addition to the SuperCar Races.

Next, we want to thank you, all of the racers, current and future, that have given us your input on this topic and the others that needed clarification. We appreciate all of your feedback and ask that you continue to use this website to voice your opinions, wins, struggles, and give us feedback on how we can make your racing series better.

Finally, we would like to thank the Bob Boden and Dan Jensen from the Pure Stock MuscleCar Drags for the input they have given the SuperCar Stock Series.

Our 2011 Rules will be posted on our HIGH OCTANE website for all to see on December 26th, 2010. Please feel free to Call, PM or send us E-Mails with your thoughts.

We at SuperCar Races want to thank you for your continued support.

OK I have a suggestion regarding the .400 break out rule.

Under normal conditions (two or more qualifying rounds) that is way too much. A .200 break out should be the maximun. The only exception being in a one qualifier race where a competitor might have to give up on his/her only pass because of safety reasons or a screw up maybe a qualifing time from a previous race can be used.

If a racer asks for a faster qualifing time in this case it hurts no one.

Being a 4 speed guy It takes me 1 of 7 to really get a good time slip. I get that good time slip and usually get shut down in the best 2 of 3 because it is so hard to duplicate. I run all out every time and would hate to be disqualified if I pull one out of the hat. The .400 benefits me even though every now and then I pull one out. :pop
