If you need to run a vacuum pump on your car, then YES, it would be a great way to make it work properly and look 100% stock. What pump are you running Ralph? I assume some type of secondary air pump. I have a couple of VW air pump's, I wonder how much vacuum I could get out of one. The problem is they draw near 30amps at full tilt.
I'd like to have one of those star pumps, but thats a tough pill to swallow.

I think it's a Moroso pump, Brian we will have to have Ed Cook give us the information on the pump. Ed Cook asked the same question a couple of years ago when he was having all sorts of issues blowing oil all over his engine bay. I went through all the part numbers and gave Ed the information to research the pump. I am sure Ed Cook will post the info we are looking for when he reads this. Ed found the pump and is using the same exact pump in his SuperCar Road Runner and I am sure it will be in the '63 Super Max Wedge.

In the HP2 I installed the pump on a toggle switch inline with a relay. I am now able to power the pump on and off when I want. I personaly like it on all the time on the HP2. It goes with the old Cop/FBI car image , sounds like a siren. I like it .

On a 1971/1972 small block Chrysler I would not go to the PCV. I would run the pump to the breather. If you're not liking the siren sound it makes install the pump in the heater box like I told Ed to do.

The pump that I have found is out of late model ZL1 unit. It has the same part number as the one you use Ralph (although I can't get mine to sing like yours). Moroso no longer makes an electric pump!! If you have the money you can buck up and use the star pump for $1600.00.

I paid $350.00 for the chevy one on ebay. It is listed as Engine Works electric pumps. It has worked fine for me.

ZL1 I have a GM part in my Mopar I will never hear the end of this....
