For those of you who don't know who I am my name is Stephen Minore owner/operator of Cas-Am Performance & Restoration LLC located in Meriden Ct. In the past I have been involoved with many Oldsmobile engine builds and restorations. One of them was Scott Pierce's 1969 Olds F-Eightyfive W-31 which was 2008 Hemmings Muscle Machines, Muscle Car of the year. Earlier this year in January Scott got rid of his 1969 F-Eightyfive and replaced it with a 1970 Cutlass W-31. Scott again wants an engine upgrade in the new 1970 W-31 to compete in the Supercar class.

We have all the parts for this engine build and we'd like to give you guys a little insight of how the build will go.
Lets start with the block and modifications, then some pictures of the components that will be used in the build.

We are using the original numbers matching block. It has been alighn honed, decks have been squared and set to Zero. It's been bored and honed only to .030 over with torque plates. (All machine work done by Andy Miller @ Olds Performance Products in Suffern, NY)

Thanks Mike,

Yes shooting for Mid 2010 for it's first race out.

Don't know what this combination will make on paper but we'lll be dynoing it at the end of the build to get an idea and post the results. What's my guess on estimated HP........... 400 :roll ?? We would like to get into the mid to low 12's for ET. We will see.
