Race 6 of 8 Road to the 2020 SuperCar Champioship.

Day two of Rumble in the Valley looks to be promising. The Weather is clear and the track is sticky. Today we have a couple of new comers joining the series. A beautiful Duster the Delfranco family piloted by Rocky. A first time competitor in the series. Rocky was excited to see what it's all about. We encourage all to participate. Come out and try it. If your car isn't 100% legal no worries. Come out if you like it we will set you on a path to get your car SuperCar legal.

The quick 8 for day two was very similar to day one except for a couple of changes in the running order. Tom Tarzwells Charger 500 had a tire swap as the hides on the back of Tom's Charger showed wear beyond the allowed limits of NHRA and SuperCars. You see in SuperCars we don't allow tires that are bald, We feel the tires needs to show tread thru out the entire tire. Also NHRA rules says you can not run a bald tire in testing or competition. With the tire swap Tom's Charger qualified 7th. Our new number one was Bill Atwood Jr. with a 11.359 ET our number two Ralph Barbagallo's Road Runner with an E/T of 11.366. Number 3 saw Tom's Charger 500 and close behind Tom was Bill DiCicco and is 1968 383 Road Runner in the fourth qualifying position.

With qualifying completed and round one of competition completed we saw the top four move on to round two of elimination. In Round two Bill Atwood Jr. focused on the final round putting Tom's Charger on the trailer with a quicker reaction time and ET. The other half of the ladder saw Barbagallo's 6BBL Road Runner eliminate DiCicco's LiL 383 Road Runner. The Final was set. Both 70 Plymouth's rolled into the staging lanes ready to do battle. Both Plymouth's staged and ready Barbagallo's Road Runner leaves 1st Bill Jr. leaves hard, the polyglas's look like they are glued to the LVD surface. Jr. trying his best to regain the lost reaction time falls short. Barbagallo runs an 11.344 to Jr.s quicker but loosing 11.331. Your Rumble in the Valley Top Eliminator and back to back winner is Ralph Barbagallo and his 1970 Road Runner 440+6BBL.

The Consolation race did not disappoint. The Final saw regular Rhett Moody take on Anthony Mauro and his 1967 Firebird. Both cars ready to do battle. they staged and loaded the convertors. With coaching from a fellow racer Anthony focused on the tree leaves hard and .151 quicker than Rhett. The race is on! Hear comes Rhett clicking thru the gears with Anthony looking out his rear view mirror and as they make there way down the 1320. In Anthony's side glass is Rhett hoping he has enough track to regain the lost reaction time. No Dice! Anthony Mauro and his 1967 Firebird 400 Auto running 12.221 puts the Barracuda 340 S 12.091 quicker but loosing SuperCar on the trailer.

Race 7 of 8 Road to the 2020 SuperCar Championship.

November 7, 2020 with a perfect forecast and perfect weather the SuperCar camp headed to world famous Atco Dragway Atco, NJ to complete the 2020 season and crown a new SuperCar World Champion. The entry list for the fall finale did not disappoint. All the heavy hitters showed up to record new best ET's and to flex there muscles in there respected classes and races. For the first time in many years we have not one or two Fords in the field but three. All coming from the Oreland, PA the Cannon and Doyle crew brought out three competitive Fords to do Battle in the series. Also from Oreland, PA Brian Doyle and his 1971 Challenger R/T came out to set some new records. Also attending this event was our out NJ camp. Led by Ray Garrison they did not disappoint. Bringing 7 SuperCars out to do battle. With everyone SuperCar Tech'd and ready to do battle we move to qualifying.

With 22 SuperCars staged and ready the qualifying order saw regular Ted Daros and his 1969 Record Holding Nova in the number one qualifying position with a solid 10.736 E/T in the number two slot we have Ralph Barbagallo and his 1970 Road Runner. Tom Tarzwell 1969 Charger 500 qualified number five. Rounding out the quick 8 was Anthony Mauro.
our second quick eight was led by NJ's own Platinum Ray Garrison with his 1969 GTX 4Spd. followed by Robert LaPoint and his 1970 ElCamino SS454 LS6 4Spd. Closing out the 2nd quik eight was Adam Witkowski and his 1972 Charger Rallye 340. The fields are set and we are ready to go racing.

Round one in the quick eight was critical for Tom Tarzwell's Charger. For the Charger to have any path to the Championship a win was a must. Paired up with World Record Holder Ted Daros the chance of a W in the Charger lane was slim but not impossible. Ted has been known to push the tree once and a while with this be the case and will the Charger gain the points needed to be the 2020 Championship. Both SuperCars Stage and are ready to go. Ted cuts a .118 light and motors to a win. For Barbagallo to win the 2020 World Championship he needs to forge his way thru the field to the Final. Winning the Final today would guarantee him the Championship.
Both Ted and Ralph win their respected semi final match ups. Both SuperCars are ready to go. The Atco surface as usual is prepped one last time to perfection for the class. Both cars stage and are ready to go. Ted knowing Ralph has in the past caused him to red light leaves cautiously with a .224 light. Ralph knowing he can seal the championship cuts a .169 light and they are off. Ted makes his way to the 300 ft mark spinning the hides. Ralph has no luck as he looses traction from the hit. Ted runs and 11.436 to Ralph's 12.08.

In the second quick eight we moved to the final as Platinum Ray and his GTX finds self in the final against the big bad buick of Jake Martinez. The Classis Mopar vs Buick battle is about to go down. Both SuperCars stage and they are off. Jake takes the lead from the hit, but no dice. Ray's GTX proves to be to powerful for Jakes Buick. Platinum Ray Garrison takes the win.

Race 8 of 8 The Road to the 2020 SuperCar Champioship.

The Final Race of the Season We crown a Champion Today!

The Final race of the 2020 SuperCar season is here. This year was a short one but a great one as usual. We saw record car count at all of our races. We welcomed many new racers and many that returned to compete in SuperCars. We are appreciative of all that made the 2020 season memorable, now let's go RACING!

With only two SuperCars left in contentions for the Championship we start our Final day of the season. Picture perfect weather and condition are among us on this day. With a field of twenty SuperCars ready to battle on the best track on the east coast, the class gets ready to go qualifying.

The only SuperCar left to possibly take the crown away from Ralph Barbagallo is long time racer and previous SuperCar Champion Rhett Moody and his lethal Barracuda. For Rhett to win the Championship he needs to make his way to the Final in the quick 8 and defeat Ralph in the Final. Ralph Barbagallo and his proven Road Runner need to simply qualify in the quick eight and win round one to be crowned the 2020 SuperCar World Champion.

After two rounds off qualifying the field is set and Rhett as expected makes the cut for the first quick eight. Rhett comes to the line and ready's his Barracuda against SuperCar regular Bryan Doyle and his 1971 Challenger R/T 440 Six Pack 4 Spd. Both Cars Stage and they are off. With similar reaction times Rhett is going to need Bryan to miss a shift so he can power by the Challenger. Bryan pulls the pistol grip into all gears with no issues and takes the WIN! With Rhett out out if the first quick eight it is now Ralphs chance to seal the deal and take the Crown. Ralph is up against Anthony Mauro and his 1967 Firebird. Anthony is no newbie. Racing in the class for years he is not to be taken lightly. Both Bird stage and the lights flash green for both SuperCars. As they make their way down the track Ralph pulls ahead of Anthony and secures the 2020 SuperCar World Championship.
