We are very saddened to bring you this information, Mark Bowman has passed at age 52. Mark was one of the nicest people you would ever meet. He was a great Husband, Father and friend. Mark will be missed on the 1320 in the years to come. Please Join SuperCars in remembering such a great person.

Naugatuck-Mark E. Bowman, age 52, beloved husband of Shawne (McGrath) Bowman, passed away on Thursday January 24, 2019 unexpectedly at St. Mary’s Hospital.



Marl was born in Milford, CT on December 29, 1966, son of Eugene Bowman of Naugatuck and Carol Cesarek of Florida. Mark was a resident of Naugatuck for over 20 years and was currently working at Atlantic Ventilating and Equipment in Cromwell. He had also worked for many years at Post University. He was a mechanic and builder and had owned his own contracting company for several years. Mark was a drag racing and antique car enthusiast, and loved racing his 1969 Chevy Chevelle at Lebanon Valley Dragway in New York and was currently restoring his 1967 Chevy pickup.



Besides his wife Shawne, he leaves his children, Justin and Lindsey Bowman of Naugatuck; his brother Eugene Bowman of Ansonia; his in laws, Richard and Theresa Hemenway of Oxford; and his beloved dog Gigi.



Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 30, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at noon at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. I have known Mark for close to 25 years. He was my best friend. He was so full of life and such a positive, easy going person.
We are all in dumbed state of shock. My heart and prayers go out to his Family. He leaves behind a void that cannot be filled and memories that will never fade. RIP my friend.
