Exploded distributor cap, sticking carburetor...bad weekend for the 2+2. But a good weekend for me, I still had loads of fun.
I wish to thank all those who stepped in to help with the mechanical woes, especially Billy Atwood!

As always a fantastic weekend. Unlike Jack who had mechanical problems, mine was the lose nut behind the wheel for consistency. Plus the fact this trip was a memorable one especially driving on over size paved cow paths through mountains and only to drive by the hotel that had no lighted sign from the road. But hey it is something to talk about. As Ralph stated the staff at both tracks were great. Thanks Ralph for putting another one together. Looking forward to Cecil

I also had a great weekend of racing. E-town was good as always and Island was an interesting, rural track. I agree that the staff a both tracks went above and beyond treating us well.

I didn't have any mechanical issues racing but the ride home was another story. The water pump bearing decided to catastrophically fail about half way home at about 9:30 Sunday night. Luckily for me I was one town away from Ralph's house . . . even luckier that Ralph was willing to help me out! I ended up staying overnight at the Barbagallo residence until the auto parts store opened up in the morning.

I can't thank Ralph and Sharleen enough for being gracious hosts opening up their home and taking the time to help me out. Without their help I would have been stranded 150 miles from home. Ralph and Sharleen, I owe you both big time for that one!

As always, another great event planned by Ralph with a great car count both days.

A personal best on Saturday (13.68 @ 98.45 mph) that I beat on Sunday with a 13.45 @ 97.23 mph in a car that with me in it, a 1/3 of a tank of gas and 75-100 pounds of ballast in the trunk tipped E-town's scales at 4,500 lbs. It would be great if I could continue to keep on shaving 0.2 seconds off the ET every time I go to the track.

A special thanks to Hal & Dom for helping me out with loading my car on the trailer on Sunday and to Kevin & Bill D. for helping move some coolers full of drinks.

What an incredible weekend of racing!! Three days later and I still haven't recovered!!
A big shout out and THANK YOU to Ralph for another spectacular set of events! Great tracks on both days, awesome track staff and great guys to race with!
Congrats to all who achieved accomplishments:
* New personal bests
* First pass on the track in a lot of years.. Not to mention driving the car there!
* Treasures found at the swap meet
* Since rescuing her out on the left coast, the first track run and overnight for 'House Wheels'
* And many more!!
Great way to start out the second half of our season!
