Hi guys, rookie, novice, beginner, dave luke here!! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Just wanted to post some info on my super bee build that I hope to have done by early spring. I have been talking to Bill Atwood about doing the drivetrain for the car and ended up buying an assembled short block from Nick WIlson at Compuflow. My car is a 69 real super bee four speed car in b3 blue. This is what i have so far:

528 inch short block flat top motor
Mahle pistons
eagle crank and rods
brand new six pack assembly
440 source stealth heads.....I can hear the rumblings now ....haha I know I know....
harland sharp rockers
Bunch of other stuff...

I plan on having scott brown do the cam once the final compression is done. Bill is going to do the assembly of the motor and continue to give me great advice and tell me how spend more of my money haha. The trans needs to be beefed up as well as the rear end so those are on the list too. Plan is to convert it over to A12 car once drivetrain is done, but is it ever really done.....? Any input on the build would be great. I sold the yellow roadrunner I had to sort of fund this project and have a car that I can bring racing once in a while. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I would like to thank Bill Atwood for having the patience talking with me, answering all of my seemingly endless questions and helping me out with what to buy, he has been great.

I will try to get some pics up soon

It's going to be a real nice build. Can't wait to see it run down the 1320. I have some pics from this years Cruiz-In of Daves Super Bee. :bow

I was thinking the same thing. I will have plenty of time to appreciate your tail lights when I go up against it. :rock

Great looking car and a nice build, naturally I am partial to '69 Super bee's :roll
I'm sure you'll be happy with the performance upgrades, that is a great combination!

Dropped motor and parts off this week to Billy Atwood. After some quick deck height checks looks like compression will be around 11.85 to 1. Ordering up cam from Scott brown next week along with pushrods. Progress being made !! Will post some engine pics soon

And illegal? Yes. Dave is looking to build more of a street car not a Legal SuperCar. Although once he gets hook to SuperCars. I am sure he will be making the change over to cast iron heads. You will find his Aluminum heads for sale in the Swap pages I am sure.

 I would put money on the head swap. The SuperCar group is great bunch of folks and I am looking forward to getting to some events this year.
