Ralph & Sharleen congrats on the 5.0 Capri making this month's HMM. Nice car and story. Having an '89 5.0 Stang myself w/ 148,000 miles on it, I too can attest to how addictive those Fox bodies can be. :cheers

Thank you!

It is hard to believe that I've owned the Capri long enough for it to be considered a collectible. That was the first and only new car I've ever bought.

That car cost $289.63 per month for 5 years, or over $18,000.00! In 1986, for that price, I could've bought a Hemi Cuda Convertible! But, then again, I probably couldn't have got financing on that, or talked my parents into co-signing the loan.

But, I did love that car (and still do), and I said I'd keep it forever- or at least until it's worth what it originally cost me....Like I said, I guess I'll keep it forever! Lot's of great memories and lots of fun were had with that car. And, for the times, it was a great muscle car.

I saw, "Capri in Muscle Machines" under bench racing and thought, SO WHAT!
I get several magazines and read them to fill in gaps in my day. I just got to my Feb. MM and saw Sharleens picture and put 2 and 2 together. Congratulations Sharleen and Ralph on a nice article. I wish I had the foresight at the time to keep my first car.I shared with Lil Harry :aok . Looking forwad to seeing you guys at Atco in April
