It's official, the build on the 1974 Roadrunner has begun!! Instead of standing in long lines at a retail store to save $50 on Black Friday, we were driving down to CT Collision Center in Middletown to drop Green Two (G2) off to start the body work. Bumpers off and grille out she's already being stripped down for some body work and primer. While she's in good hands down there, we are starting on the bumpers and interior back at the Greenhouse (the single car garage she resides in that's in our back yard). It may seem like it's a bit aways but it will be April 2013 before we know it and she needs to be ready! I'll keep posting the progress. Guess what color she is going to be?!

The shop is making excellent progress on the body work. Old quarter and fender work redone, spoiler removed and holes filled, windshield out and repairs underway and hood stripped and re-worked..... Getting the full facelift!

The body wasn't the only place they used bondo, check out the grille! The black old grille will be replaced with the gray one, in much better shape!

Stopped by the shop on Friday and what a surprise! G2 was 'jamin'! The door jambs were painted and we got there just before she started her bake cycle...
Another week to week and a half and phase 1 should be done, exterior.. Bumpers on the car were too rotted out so we have a used set coming from Albuquerque. May need to be rechromed but we'll know more when they get here, Fed Ex date is Thursday 12/6...
