I want to take this time to thank all of the Racers, Fans and Cruiz night attendees that have donated to the SuperCar ShootOut's chosen charity, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® .

This is the time of the year that many open their hearts and donate to charities.

We, as a group, through T-Shirt Sales, Donations at the Races, Fall Foliage Cruiz and Cruiz nights raised over $530.00 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in September, October and November of 2008.

Many of you are familiar with the Make A Wish, but for those that don't know, Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities.

The SuperCar ShootOut Series embraces the mission of the Make-A-Wish® Foundation. Make-A-Wish® has evolved from very humble beginnings to become the nation's largest wish granting organization. But, it has maintained the grassroots fulfillment of its mission. More than 78% of every dollar donated to them goes directly towards granting seriously ill children's wishes.

To help share the power of a wish®, the SuperCar ShootOut Race Series has donated $1.00 of each T-shirt it sells to the local Make-A-Wish® Foundation, along with additional donations raised at each racing event.

We have also hosted one car cruiz-in and show each month for the months of September, October and November of 2008 and held a Fall Foliage Cruiz event in October to raise funds for the Connecticut Chapter of Make-A-Wish®.

SuperCar Races has also partnered with the wish-granting coordinator to help facilitate any child's wish that encompasses the passion for cars and racing.
