Our next set in the semi finals were ready for battle. Scott was as cool as his Rocket W30. Scott, with no worries and ready to take on any musclecar Mother Mopar would bring his way. Jim and his gear jamming 383 4 BBL Dart GTS was focused and ready to battle. Crew Chief "Hemi Joe Cuda" set the tune to take down the Rocket. Scott, knowing if he got out on Jim the 1/8 mile would be to his advantage and the lonely win light on top end would shine in his favor. Jim, all pumped up with orders to take down the Rocket with 3 pulls of the gear shift.

Both racers pre-staged and wiped the sweat from their respected Hurst shifters. Once they dropped their towels they were ready for battle. Jim with no hesitation lit the tree with determination, Scott bumped his Rocket with care into the light and readied his W30 for the war. The first yellow lit and they were off. Jim took the lead and never looked back, Scott tried his best to put the Rocket in the final but came up short. The final was set, all Mopar! And the crowd went crazy :runaway

The SuperCar ShootOut final was set with a pair of Chrysler wedge motors ready to battle for the TOP ELIMINATOR honors. Kevin with his Challenger and Jim with his Dart were ready for a good old gear jamming run down the Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way.

Both racers, ready to take their Mopars down the track for the last time, and only one would be the 2010 SuperCar ShootOut @ Carlisle TOP ELIMINATOR. Both racers had their winner circle speeches ready. Who would they thank or forget to thank in the winners circle? Jim did a conservative burn and was lined up to set a record breaking run. Once Jim completed his burn out his Hurst shifter had issues and would not shift into reverse. Hoping Kevin would red-light Jim staged his Mopar for the final time. In the other lane Kevin was told the track is awesome, give the old girl a Kowalski beating. Once Kevin set the line lock, he started into his burn and smoked the clutch, not the tires. Neither driver knowing of each others woes staged their chosen weapons for battle. Kevin left first and clean on his way to the TOP ELIMINATOR position.

With the Top Eliminator being crowned, the only thing left was to decide the winner of the Consolation Race. This was one important showdown that had to be decided. Easy Going Juan vs. Ralph’s Rapid Transit. These two called each other out and were ready to show the Carlisle crowd who would be the king of the tri-carbed b-bodies. The smack talk had gone on for months, Juan brought a big box of Kleenex to wipe the Bird's long nose with, Ralph had a can of Raid on hand to slow the Bee's sting down. The two were ready for battle. They stayed out of each others way all day, slinging words like granny shifter, slug, too slow to shift. With all the words that were said, the battle was on. The two met in the consolation final. Ralph had the Bird set to fumigate the Bee into a loss. Juan put an ice pack on Ralph's seat to help ease the pain of Bee's sting

The two were ready, lane choice was unimportant they headed for the burn out box. Ralph looked over at Juan and with a quick nod the two dumped their clutches at 3000PRM and did their burnouts. They both pre-staged, then staged. The Christmas tree lit up and they were off. Ralph pulled second first, with Juan on his wing screaming like a school girl, then third came quick for both, neither let up, by the end of the Quarter Aces strip, the nose of the bird was out in front and the bee had lost this chapter...
