For Sale for the first time ever! 1965 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport 396 Auto. Complete frame off restoration completed 4 years ago. This rust free and beautiful Impala Super Sport started life as a 327 Power Glide and was selected by its current owner for a complete restoration and upgrade. The original numbers block and build Sheet are included in the sale.
Complete mechanical restoration includes a rebuilt, hopped up and completely vintage Turbo Jet 396-4V mated to a New Turbo 350 transmission and a 12 bolt posi 3.72 rear end. Vintage Air rebuilt the A/C that is completely functional and Ice cold. Engine bay is completely restored and in show condition, right down to the plated power brake booster. The interior is correct and in impeccable condition and is a joy to sit in to navigate this Impala SS down the road. All the stainless was polished and seats rebuilt and recovered, new carpet, re-chromed door panel trim, window cranks, door pulls and stainless trim. The Dash is in great working order with complete Super Sport gauges. the correct AC Delco vintage radio was updated to blue tooth technology. The trunk area is finished in spackle paint with a trunk Mat.
The best was saved for the last. The Body on this 65 Impala Super Sport is just beautiful. The attention to detail of fit of Panels, Grill, Emblems Tail Lights is a perfect 10. No details spared. The paint is an 8 on a scale of 1-10. Can be made a 10 with ease. The hood has been modified to allow the Turbo Jet 396 to breath. A cowl induction hood scoop has been tastefully added and gives this Impala Super Sport that look of, don't even think of messing with me. This Impala Super Sport has been sorted out and runs and drives like a brand new Muscle Car. The Craiger wheels have a set of new BF Radial T/A's mounted to them. The suspension is rebuilt with handling in mind. Oversized sway bars with tubular lower control arms, new trailing arms, all bushing have been replaced and upgraded. The frame was detailed and painted and a fresh coating of body shop undercoating was applied to the rust-free floor boards.
This Impala Super Sport was restored with no budget in mind. The sky was the limit and it shows in the overall quality. No disappointments will be felt when you come and view this Impala Super Sport Powered by a Turbo Jet 396
