My mother in-law is selling a 1976 nova with a 250 straight 6, th350 automatic, paint and body work was done about four years ago and the car has been a sunday driver garage kept since. I believe it has the 10 bolt 8.5 inch ring gear rear end. This car would be a great starting point for a bracket car or cruiser. Car is silver with red interior. Car is in southern CT. Asking $5500.00 if you are interested. You can pm me here. Thanks

Ted, this car was my step father-in laws. He used to talk about it, but it being a NOVA i didn't really pay attention! I will take a peek this weekend to check it out, never really look at it that close. Ok just got text from his son the spent 10,000 on body and paint. Both full quarters replaced. Paint is base coat/ clear coat. New front and rear springs. New rear bumper, son believes trunk and floors had no rust, replaced body mounts. Gasket kit for the engine. New inner fenders.

Rhett: You should take it and set it up for our hopefully new Connecticut 1/8 mile track. A warmed over small block, some 5:38s and your quick reactions you would be the scourge of the track. I got Chevy parts for you.

I thought about it. Or throwing a small block in it and some rally wheels and flipping it, but not sure if I want the project. It really wouldn't be a big project. . I did some investigating before i realized it is too new for us. The california highway patrol had them as police cars. In 1975 they only had four door models with the "california" v8. But in 1976 the detectives got two door models, but none had dual exhaust. I was thinking of shoving my old man in it, but its too new.

Because I have a reputation to protect, I had to come up with an alias for the show car info sheet. I thought long and hard and came up with.......... Ted Daros. :runaway :stir So that's what I put down on the sheet. I can't have pictures of me driving around in a Nova so I had to deploy my "mcdonalds bag cloak of invisibilty" :pop :moon
