You'll notice 120 more lbs on the rr than the left, So when asked if I would like to correct it and how unhappy that seemed to make Tom. I said absolutely! :pop :pop :pop :pop :hungry :hungry :hungry :hungry :hungry :hungry So down on the torsion bar and here's the after

Wow, I really need to four corner scale my car when I get it on the road. I would have never guessed that you had a 120lb difference between the LR and RR.

It was an honor to meet and attend one of Dave Morgans suspension seminar. There is an incredible amount of information to absorb in just two days, from leaf springs, coil springs, coil overs, ladder bars, four links and the science of it all. I would recommend it to anyone that wants a better understanding of chassis design and set up :aok

I am thinking about buying scales for the series. The cost would be just under $1000.00. I would rent them out to our racers at the track for supervised use. What would be a fair fee to charge our racers to use the scales for an hour at the track? Do you think you would use them if they were available or bad idea waste of money.

Ralph, I think scale rental would be a great idea now that some of us have attended Dave's seminar and want to find out our corner weights. If we share this info with the guys that didn't go to the seminar and the scales help in making suspension changes which tranlates into better track performance, I'm sure the interest will expand. I personally would pay a nominal fee to weigh my car at the track if the scales were available.

I couldn't agree more with Shawn's assessment of Dave Morgan's seminar. It was very informative and a lot to absorb in a short amount of time.

Kevin

I think the scales would be very valuable. The financial side, yes I would pay to scale the car, there was no way to tell I was 120lbs heavy in one corner. my ride hieght was equal both front and back, the car went straight. I did notice that coming out of the box the car always skewed the tail out to the right. Not sure that the extra corner weight was the reason. However with just one lauch test, the car of course spun, but it felt like it was more in control,it followed its nose more instead of hanging its rearend out. Makes driving thru the wheel spin easier. Also other racers may be willing pay if the scales not in use at the time. to scale the car only takes 15 mins. It will tell you if the suspension is binding. My values with the car just lowered onto the scales and with the car jounced after being put on the scales were within 4 lbs of each other. So I have no suspension bind.
