Ted, stock gm from l88 and zl1. Chevy performance parts listted it up until a few years ago. I think there discontinued. This one is a repo i purchased from Heartbeat City. If i recall the originals from Gm perf parts came painted black.. Motor is in now to hook everything up..... |

80% together... a little problem... stripped out 2 holes on pass side cylinder head exhaust manifold !!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so close to heli coiling them all...but seeing they were nos ...well nearly nos...i didnt...darn things stared at me all year!! i even had purchased extra inserts to do it.!! Drive side is on and tight ...pass side felt weak in more than the 2 that stripped(#6) but hopefully will be ok for round 2.......i can get to # 6 in car but need a short 25/64 bit and 90 Degree drill...i could get to 8 and maybe 2 but 4 motor would need to come back out...or up at least.. off to sears and home depot in AM any idea wher i can get the short bit on short notice??? Ryan By the way ...remember the first set of heads from WAY back??? well guess what....i put inserts in alll the threads intake and exhaust on that set !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DOH !!! |

Manifold is on! Fixed! Spent way to long staring at which starter bolts to use....still didnt decide. Im to anal...i dont like the way they engage the block and each starter i have takes differnt bolts... should be all together late friday. Depending on weather should get running this weekend. |
