Connecticut Dragway Reunion, Monday, June 20th 2011..

It was a great time. Talked to lots of old friends. I walked around with Shawn and his son. Shawn imparted some MOPAR knowledge on me. I never saw so many straight axle cars in one place before.

I took a bunch of photos but my laptop is sick with a killer virus. So I will have to download after it is fixed.

An interesting note, I talked Ralph into sitting in the Nova. He was hesitant at first. I think he was afraid of getting some General Juice on him. But I have photographic evidence of him with a big smile on his face. :drive

It was nice to see Ralph and the boyz there. I brought my Olds out for the first time this year and what a place to do it.
That meet always draws some serious race cars plus its five minutes away from my house. Hope to see you guys this year at the track.

Hey Shawn, I'm sure you know the peanut gallery, Charlie Brown and friends.....remember the little by Linus,with his blue blanket.....think of me like him, only with my blue CHEVELLE. Its part of the family, my first car.....but I do have something for you at the next event!!!

btw Hal, that's one neet lookin' hotrod!!! there is a group that I know of that runs mostly up at Lebannon, and your car would fit rite in up there with those guys..... 1320extreme is their web site

Hey Ted, you can use my "stock" intake anytime but you better plan on cranking some real RPMs like launch at 5000 shift at 7500 and yourgonna need a hole in your hood for clearance.

Mike I am looking for a group to run with for this car:

Supercar Shootout Exibition - not really in the same category as Billy's AWB Plymouth.

Nostalgia Super Stock not really the right car. No interior, tires too wide.

Nostalgia Gassers, Maybe if I take off the aero hood scoop.

NETO possibility

I'll check out this 1320 extreme.

Ted, I grabbed that Aircleaner off my 6 cyl Jeep Commando Monday so I would have something. The plenum box I was using doesn't fit this hood. Maybe we could hook up for a go at LVD. I got to get some new front tires that are not weatherchecked, dated seat belts and some other minor stuff before I can race it.

Hal, The guy who built my motor is HEAVY into NETO......He tried to recrute me, but then the car would not be legal here....
