Looking for a little help from the mopar guys. I've had a dana 60 for about 15 years that I had bought for one of my camaros but never used. It has multi leaf perches welded on for a camaro but it is an original mopar dana. The casting number on the top right rear of the center section is C34155. What appears to be a date code cast on the lower drivers side front of the center section looks like 285. It has US pat 1988818 and US pat 2018188 on the drivers side rear of the center section. The caps are cast C30257. The chuck has 25124 X and 12-1-65 A stamped on it with numbers 33 10 47 and an X cast on the side near the bearing. The pass. side rear axle tube is stamped D 23 5 B and below that in larger font is D 23 5A1 2829 7. It has a drain plug under the center section towards the rear. The ring gear has 41 teeth stamped 7330 A7N. I couldn't count the pinion teeth but by spinning the yoke they appear to be 5.13's. There is also a spacer between the ring and the chuck. The axles are 23? spline. I assume it's out of an early B-body. Any help?

Chris, 1968 or earlier B-Body. Most likely 1966 model.

Thanks Ralph. Would any of those numbers denote the original gear ratio or was that the external tag that got bolted to the cover. :beer

If it's a 1966 like I think it is. 95% Chance it's was original a 3.54 Ratio. The optional 4.10 ratio was very rare in 1966 and 1967. In 1968 the SuperTrak Pak option was defined and easier to order by the customer.
