What are the differences between a smallblock and a big block 1969 mustang mach 1?

The 5th digit in the serial # gives the factory equipped engine size.The big blocks had 31 slpine axels heavier trans as were the springs.The shock towers were braced heavier also.The exterior was not different.The 69 big block engine codes were S code was 390 R code 428 CJ ram air Q code 428 CJ non ram air.Z code Boss 429

The Mustang Is actually my brother Georges'. We are thinking about a big block clone but if the shock towers are different we plan to keep it a smallblock.

Lane just completed moving the shock towers for the Boss 429 he us building.

Boss 429s use unique shock towers. All other big block mustangs for 69 resemble small block cars. Big blocks have some extra reinforcing at the upper control arm mounts. A big block clone would not be turned away because it lacked the reinforcing. It is almost unnoticable.
Build the BIG BLOCK, we need more FORDs.
