Ok. That doesn't look too bad. No other valve witness marks that I can see. A valve ,maybe a guide. Chech the head over. Check to see if the springs haven't given up the ghost for seat/max lift pressure or if it was just youthful exuberance!

your 340 build does it have a windage as well as a oil scaper on the crank |
