Did GM Carlisle this weekend. It was one hot some-bitch. I saw enough new Camaros and Firebird nosed Camaros to last my lifetime. Turnout was maybe 1100-1200 vehicles. Nothing like the Chrysler shows I did while building hot rod Dodge trucks.

I made the trek in my Bissy just to see my buddy Hal. And he treated me well.

There were 7 67-70 Chebbies there by my count - nearly all of them equipped with 427s and 4 speeds 'cept mine. I didn't notice til late in the day but there was a really nice 65 SS with a factory 409 between the fenders!

It didn't occur to me til the long drive home that my humble little 406 could probably smoke all those 427s by a full second or three in the quarter.
