So on to cylinder heads, off to the great white north to Dwayne Porter Racing heads. I know it has been mentioned before, but Dwayne is so pleasant to deal with. answered all of my questions and explained everything that neded to be done. Ferrea valves, tool steel retainers, and a touch more spring pressure than I was running. Beautiful! I used my gift certificate. Thanks again Ralph Supercar Racing and Dwyane Porter Racing heads!

A little sealer to glue it in place and it's done.

Had a little phenolic left over so I made a fuel pump block off plate. After it was painted it looks like part of the block and keeps the pump housing cool.

Motor is in and running. Ran it up to operating temp and let it cool over night and retorqued the heads. The sealer
I used on the end exhaust manifold studs didn't cut the mustard so I had leaks, but I had to remove the manifolds to retorque anyway. So better sealer and back together. No leaks but I have exhaust leak at the headpipe. It has always been hit or miss with that gasket anyway. Ran the car up and down the road to heat cycle it a couple of times. Fix the exhaust leak, repaint the valve covers, and install the hood and I should be ready. :drinking :pop :pop :hungry :hungry

I also brought my wheels and tires down to Auto Service of Old Saybrook and had Mr. Atwood swap my tires on the wheels and rebalance them with my gift certificate. Thanks again Suipercar races and Bill Atwood!

Looks like you are making good progress. Are you doing anything to bump the C/R up?
