yes, chris, i found a good one, the quarter panel looks like its full of mud in the picture, but it is just the second coat of paint!
it was originally blue, then white, then blue again!

i dont know what color to paint it.....i am thinking, dark blue, dark forest green, or garnet red which is a nice dark red.(not maroon)

of course, steel wheels w/ dog dishes :-D

:cross Mike you may be onto something, once it's painted we could take Billy's idea and assemble the L89 at the show. We have a big enough of an area that we could make it work.

wow, just looked at the pixs again, and the one from the rear looking under looks like a rust bucket, but its the picture ,its actually good underneath!

Spoke to the dry stripper today, he wants it friday, and says he'll have it a week :shrug hope all goes as planned!

while its there, a buddy has a sand blaster, and we will do the front sub frame and attatchments, wheels, and other small stuff!

Any other opinions on color.....i figure you guys can help pic the color, as you'll be seeing alot of the quarters and trunk lid!

So, being new to the uni-body cars, whats the consensus on sub-frame connectors, when you have a roll bar.....does the bar offer enough rigidity, and are the connectors just added weight, or are they still helpful?

Ted, maybe spray it the same color of the chevelle, but, really any color would work. if you wanted to really go crazy, :runaway , paint it the beige color, almost like that L-72 biscaine, with a saddle interior. Sleeper??? :shrug . Or, you could have your daughter choose the color and suprize us in april. :pop

no on the acid dip....good way to lighten things up, but the painter is not in favor for a few reasons.
We will be having it media blasted by American Dry Stripping!

some lightening, here and there but as the nova community knows we have been blessed with a light car with a good weight distribution even from stock    :stir

Damn you guys aren't wasting anytime getting that car stripped. If you're open to color suggestions I have always thought that white with bright blue interior looks nice but, if you wanted to go with a brighter color I think Lemans blue or Rallye Green would look nice too.
I'm sure the car will look awesome regardless of the color you paint it.

Dropped the body off at american dry stripping today, hope to have it back in a week to ten days!
First they will scrape and remove any undercoating, and seam sealer.

Second they will be blasting off the paint and filler, using a plastic media.
This minimizes heat and warping!

Then they will abrasive blast any rusty areas!

MEAN WHILE....... i will be starting on blasting the front subframe, and misc. small parts, and if the body isnt ready yet i will start assy. of front end stuff.....i'll get more pixs as we go!
:hungry
