Hi the zl1 camaro "clone" build is getting closer to completion. I have wanted to post pictures on here for a long time so here goes. Its been nearly 3 years and i have a ton of pictures and will do my best to put in some kind of order. I originally purchased this car with plans to do some work and flip it. I figured if i made a few grand of this one then i could put that toward my 69 i have owned since 1988. Well i was really wanting to build a purpose made car for this type of racing and decided to keep it. I should of run but now its nearly done! The car started as a supposed plain jane "rust free california car" well the car had some rust but damage everywhere. Granny drove by the brail method! I hope to have car completed and on the track by this april. Every time i turn around there is another obstacle either with the car or my personal life so hopefully i can reach this goal! Ryan

In looking back, i should of bailed! I have another 69 camaro, an original ss396 car that i should of restored instead! I just didnt want to make a "clone" out of a "real" car! I still should of cut my losses. At this point in the first picture i already had new fenders fitted to front of car. The car had been rear ended at some point so decision was made to replace the entire trunk floor and the frame rails!! Along with rear valance quarters etc.. Ryan

PAINT!!! I really like yellow 69 camaros...but i wanted a white interior! I was going to go cortez silver until the night before and had them mix code 71 Lemans Blue! This is the owner of Johns Collision, John putting the paint on in his booth in South Hadley. He does collision in the south hadley location and his restorations in another loaction. He loves chevrolets but also has a bunch of mopars that he is redoing. Did a nice mach 1 mustang not long ago as well.

I put stock brakes on the front. The wildwood brakes take off about 35 pounds but i wanted this car to look really stock! I can always change later if i decide too...
