Coming along. Just trying to get the Challenger on the road. It was technically road worthy when I bought it but had a big bunch of little issues (edelbrock carb, leaf spring problems etc.) and one major one, a 727 automatic. I just got done overhauling a close ratio 4 speed for the car and plan to take the auto out tomorrow. A hot 360, close ratio 4 speed and a 3.91 gear should make for a fun cruiser. :drive

Maybe another week it will be at Ralphs cruise night. Its still not up to my standards, wont be until its torn down 100% and redone but instead of buying a car and immediately tearing it down to repaint it I figured I'd leave the body alone and get it mechanically sound first, then once I am happy how it runs and drives, tear it down and address the body.

I usually don't work that way and am having a very hard time with it. Yesterday I pulled the 727 out in preparation for the 4 speed and just being close up looking at all the little things made my mind start to wander. I imagine I had that cartoon hyptonized look with swirling eyes as thoughts of jumping in and stripping the car right then and there entered my head. I resisted though.

On another note its amazing what some people do to cars. Only 4 out of 6 bellhousing bolts were present. The starter was held in with a mix of SAE and metric bolts. The exhaust was a mess. Lots of uglies and scary's to fix on this thing.
