The Challenger is getting an engine and transmission upgrade this winter. The 440 that's been in the car for almost 20 years that has taken me to and from many races and car shows without much trouble is being replaced with a 440 based stroker. So far I've pulled the old 440 and I'm putting the new engine together right now. The 23 spline 833 4 speed will be replaced with an 18 spline unit. Since I'll be making changes such as increasing compression, I'll be trailering the car from now on for all but the shortest trips.

While I have the car apart I'll be rebuilding the front suspension along with addressing some other minor issues. As long as I stay on track, I will have it ready for the first race in April.

My brother Bob and my friend Jim, in the pic here, helped me pull the engine.

But as I'm quickly finding out it also leads to a lot less of these.

I'd rather buy the tool than spend more on gas to borrow one. Do you happen to know the length I need? I think a 8.8" to 9.8" may be the one I need.
