There's some good news in there. The adjusters are not knocked out of the case and the suregrip is a rebuilable clutch type. |

I have no builds, repairs or updates to offer other than looking forward to the first race of 2016 and continue to drive my car everywhere.Just had it out this past weekend-had to start the New Year off right- Gotta love these pump gas motors. I do have to say I am a little tired of all the fiberglass packing those Race Pros blow out of the tailpipes. |

A 742 case rear is in the works over at Auto Services for the Demon. A Spool, bearings, 3.91's and back together we go. Today the new Carpet showed up for the 1971 GTX. The new carpet weighs 25LBs. less than the factory original when ordered with out the padding on the back. Cutting out the rest of the role bar this weekend and installing the new carpet. Next project is pulling the Tranny out of the GTX, servicing the issues, then the Fuel system followed by a new set of stainless tail pipes and the GTX should be ready to go. |

Ted you were running stock rods in that motor? must have broken two rods at least. With dents in both valve covers. The dents are from the valve train. The hole in the pan was a rod As far as i can tell, spun a bearing, broken rod, parts flying around, timing chain is broken, so valves kissed pistons and broke 2 rockers out of head The piston with half a rod will make a nice centerpeice at the party |
