As far as i can tell, spun a bearing, broken rod, parts flying around, timing chain is broken, so valves kissed pistons and broke 2 rockers out of head

The piston with half a rod will make a nice centerpeice at the party

Whats the plan? Staying with the same build or ???? Whats going on with the Chevelle?

Same build i think, it was pretty good i think, depends if i need a block i guess i'll know soon, may be a chevelle kinda year, i think that will be lots of fun, glad it got cold, nov dec put a hurting on me $$$$
One things for sure, i will be racing something

The Demon is on its way back together. Waiting for the new center section from Auto Services of Old Saybrook. The GTX is up on stands. The tranny torque convertor and drive shaft are the next areas that get attention.

Dropped of the tranny tonight and as I suspected its JUNK! The case is very tired, clutches are worn-out. The convertor is getting ready to head back to Lenny at UCC to be opened, cleaned and gone thru to make sure it's 100% for the new tranny.

A good friend of mine from Rochester New York discovered the GTX in the early 80's. A local car that was known for its BIG burnouts, wild color and cool hood! His name is Tom Q. He was the president of North East Hemi Owners Association in the 80's. My first look at tht GTX was in 1991 at a NEHOA meet in Allentown PA. Tom towed the GTX with a 1970 Chrysler Imperial 4Dr :rock ( I have pics of that).

Tom was the one that discovered the GTX and kept it mostly original. He added a 6BBL, changed the decklid to add the Gull-Wing Spoiler ( I have the original deck lid and complete number matching 440).

In the late 90's Tom sold the GTX to Andy a local Rochester NY Mopar Nut .

Andy's Other Hemi GTX at the 2009 SuperCar Fire Core Challenge Carlisle PA

Andy was the one that repaired the passenger side quater panel and repainted the quater panel. Andy also took the original 440 mill and had Compu-Flo rebuild the mill. Andy kept the GTX till about 2007 when the GTX made its way to CT. Billy Atwood bought the car on my recomendation in 2012 and then sold it to Kathy on my recomendation. Now it's home till Macy decides to sell it to go to College or ???

The GTX is very special being it's a factory Trak Pak 4.10 Dana, Hi Impact color and very original in condition and spirit. I've always had an eye for adding the GTX to my collection.
