Lenny said to use a MOPAR Performance flex plate with 7/16th bolts. He said I should use an SFI approved flex plate. I currently have a non-SFI approved TCI Forged Flexplate #145300, described as; Internal Engine Balance, 7/16 in. Bolt, 8-Bolt, Mopar, 727/904, Forged Crank, 426 Hemi. A link to it follows. Do I really need to change the Flexplate or will the TCI flexplate be fine? See http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TCI-145300

YES!

As for the converter bolts, Lenny recommended MOPAR Performance 7/16-20 bolts (P4529592) . Will ARP Torque Converter Bolts 240-7302

If ARP bolts are fine, should I spend the extra for the TCI Torque Converter Bolts #146200 ( http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tci-146200/overview )?
Or, should I use the MOPAR Performance #P4529592 bolts that appear to be discontinued but still out there?

MP bolts are not available. If you can find them they will be fine. I tried and no one has them Summitt listed them, but never came thru. Just wasted my time.

24 Days till the first race. Who's ready?

I'm almost ready to go with the GTX. Brake Calipers are out getting rebuilt at Aerospace components. New Polyglas's are installed. Fuel system is the next and the last issue to address :cross . Outer Carbs need tuning and Oil needs changing. The last stop before New Hampshire will be Auto Services for the install of the Hydromat and tail pipes.

The new flex plate and the ARP converter bolts have arrived.

Do the bolt heads need a little sanding or do they need a little grinding down for clearance? I don't think we did anything to the converter bolts when the converter that I have been running was installed 2 years ago with ARP converter bolts.

Ask Rhett if he will do them for you. He knows what needs to be done. If Billy is doing the Convertor then he will take care of them for you.

I was planning on doing the converter change myself with the help of a fellow racer since I have a lift and a transmission jack. I will get in touch with Rhett.

The nova is back in business!
Broke it in today on the dyno.
Same build, same results, as expected. Looking for more traction with suspension as we all are.
