Interesting! I guess it was just a look they wanted. Kinda like these fancy brake calipers we see on open rim cars now! |

One night in 1968 on Woodward Ave in the Detroit suburbs. Chrysler engineers saw many musclecars sporting painted drums and they said hey we can do that on the line. And that is the rest of the story. |

Also, wouldn't a car built for the road racing have front disc brakes as standard equipment? |

Three Ford, Two Chevy, One AMC (Well that's kind of a MOPAR now) The Drum brake are probably lighter for our series anyhow. |

The Brakes are completed. Front Tires mounted and ready for the 1320.

Engine bay is ready for the wiring harness, horns and steering column.

Final parts have arrived to complete the fuel system. Tank, straps, tank pad, Electric fuel pump and gaskets.

Final steps are in place to complete the interior. Seats, belts, door panels and sill plates have all been installed. Dash and guages will be installed next.

As the restoration phase is almost completed. The go fast parts are starting to arrive .
