I had just got to the bank with my ski mask when I read the description. It has a R block. Doh!

Don't know, it doesn't look stock so we never had to look at specs or approving the Block.

If I remember right all R blocks are raised deck blocks. :pop

just looked again, deck height the same or shorter. what "cosmetic" differences are there?

That picture is of the short deck block. It has the half moon cooling passages and it also requires a different front cover. :pop

I think this is the r3 standard deck height block.

The differences I see are the drivers side bottom corner is flat on r3 and cast on 340
