Ok guys I need your help. Seeing I am not a big Chevrolet guy I am asking the Chevy guys for advice. I am in the process of purchasing a 1967 327 350 hp L79 Elkhart blue 4 speed corvette in need of restoration. White convertible top and also has hard top. The car is all matching numbers, been in dry storage since 80's, and I have the original tank sticker. The body is off the chassis and in decent shape, never been hit, paint is lousy and the wrong blue, one repaint. Motor all original never been apart 66k miles on car. Interior is in good shape. Chassis was stripped and painted in black Imron gloss, front end rebuilt as well as rear end.

Any rough numbers on the value as it is? If anyone knows someone or are interested themselves please contact me. Getting the car to a large garage to organize and clean car and all parts this week. Unfortunately no pics of chassis to post which like I said is clean and sprayed. Thanks for any input - Dave.

I have yet to exchange money for car pending another once over and being re assured there is no rust issues in the internal framing or "birdcage".

So at this point I'm looking for what the Chevy gurus think car is ballpark figured at? Man my wheels are spinng on this one lol. The more research I do, the more things I find I need to look at on car to rest easy and feel good about buying it!

I have seen the ad for the car. Based on the asking price, I thought the seller was on the strong side. You would have at LEAST 50K in restoration costs to do it right. Judging by what little I know........................27.5K in order to be square in the car.

What's your plan for the car? Is it a keeper. What will it be worth done, 50k? I'd say this is a 12-15k car as it sits. That's what I would pay anyway. You might spend a little more if you intend to keep it.

Well, just re read original post and redone chassis kills my idea, but anyway, its a geeat car but like any car be honest about resto cost and realistic resale price.
However, i would think a nice resto with that 327 would be lots of fun cruising around :drive

Car is worth 50-60K done. Numbers matching and a tank sticker make it very desirable.
:cheers

Thanks guys its been a while since I have been on computer. Just a quick story on car. Yes it was complete, just disassembled. I bought the car and sold it in a day and a half for a nice profit. A few more easy flips on these high price chevrolets and I can buy myself a nice hemi car….. hahahaha
