Bill, Friends and I have been using Perreault's Radiator Shop, 553 West Main St., Meriden, #203-235-9065. They also repair gas tanks.

They built the radiator in my yellow '68 Sport Fury. The owner called his core supplier and told them what my engine was going to be while I was at the shop and ordered up a narrow fin, four core 22" core that my Chrysler tanks were attached to for around $400.

They are a small one man shop that works on radiators for all kinds of vehicles and equipment and I have been happy with their work. My only issue is that I always tell them NOT to paint the radiator and sometimes they forget that and use a Rustoleum paint whereas I prefer to use an Eastwood Radiator paint that does not chemically react very well with the Rustoleum paint.

I am sure that other recommendations may follow. Don't overlook a high flow thermostat that will not fail in a closed position. Just my :2c

I do have a guy in New Britian that I have used for 20 yrs or so very good but very expensive. This summer we did need a quick fix with Dennis's Dart and we used the shop in Meriden. They seemed good, quick, no issues and reasonable. If you want the guy in NB # call me.

So the saga continues. I ordered my tires for the RR from Summit with a delivery day of Monday. The payment when through last night so I thought they were shipped. This afternoon I check the email to see that they are now back ordered until at least the 28 th. WTF. And even still now they have their ad up on ebay saying the have two sets in stock.

That sucks Bill.

I would not hesitate to call them and give them some crap about their eBay listing. Hopefully you can borrow some tires for E-town. If needed, I can loan you some radials for the weekend.

FWIW, last year I ordered my Firestone red-line G70/15 tires from a place in California; www.performanceplustire.com/

They had the best prices I could find and the tires arrived within a week.

As an example, they currently have Firestone F70-14's for $211 ea. + shipping with your choice of whitewall, red-line or raised white letters. Looks like they do not carry that many Goodyear muscle car tires. For my car, the only 70 series tire option was the Firestone red-lines.

Bill, I have a set of tires left over from my 66 Belvedere. They are 245x60-14 rears and smaller fronts. They are mounted and ready to go on some alloy rims. They are all in good shape. You can pick them up at my house in Salem or I will bring them to work in Naugatuck. They would be much safer especially if you are going to drive the car. Just call me 860 319-4147

Hal

Hal, I may just do that but change to the redlined once in New Jersey. Good thing the road runner has a big trunk.

Bill,

If you need me to take the red-lines down in my trailer, let me know.

I will have a generator, an air compressor, tools. a 4-way lug wrench and an aluminum floor jack and could bring my impact gun & sockets if you want me to. No need to bring tools that will already be there for swapping tires.

Sounds like a 14" spare is not a priority right now. My Saturday is getting a bit full and I would like to reschedule. I have a 4 PM in Bristol on Monday so depending on your work schedule, I could bring you a 14" rim on Monday or we can meet up another time. LMK
