   I use the term 67' Chevy truck loosely. There isn't much left of the original truck. IIRC... we used the cab, doors, wiper cowl, hood, grille, inner fenders. Purchased two new repop fenders, new repop front bumper. The bed is a 95' C1500 step side bed. Frame is a custom box tube job with a 78' T/A front sub frame, hand-built in my father's cluttered two car garage. Motivation is supplied by a rebuilt 2000 LS1, Thunder Racing CheaTR cam, dual springs, ti retainers, hardened pushrods. Induction is a 2004 LQ4 truck intake and TB with DBW. We were able to adapt an SLP CAI from the same truck. Trans is a 4L60E with a TCI 3500 converter. Headers are actually cheap Summit Racing headers for a 2nd gen F-Body, I found some LS1 flanges on eBay, and we massaged a few tubes. The rear is from the same 78' T/A we pirated the sub frame from, upgraded with Motive 3.73 gears. It will wear a set of 17" Torque Thrust D's for rolling stock. I'll try to remember to get some updated pictures of the frame tomorrow. It is now painted and we have started reassembly. |

A little update...  We eliminated the vent windows, but weren't able to do 100% one piece glass. The upper door hinge swings into the door and would have hit the glass.

I'm injured and unable to help, but was able to get a few people to come over and set the bed on:   The bed is just sitting there, needs to be shifted around and bolted down to get everything to line up. But, one less thing in the way. |

New pictures soon, doors and tailgate have been painted and installed. Just need to finish up the hood and paint it. That is the last body panel needing body work and paint. |
