Just wondering what most of you guys are running for steering? My car currently has power, but thinking of switching to manual, thoughts ?

If it is a duel purpose car, street and strip I would keep the power steering, If it Is a max effort race only car, manual steering would be the way to go. IMO :aok

I removed the power steering pump from my 67 Belair. The pump, brackets, fluid and hoses reduced the weight by 15 lbs. and made no noticable difference in performance.

I shouldn't even be sharing this info but the super secret Billy Atwood rubber band modification to my QJet secondary air valve controler added 1.6 tenths and 1 MPH!

Y2,
For what it is worth I'm in the process of converting my 442 from manual to power. Even though manual is pretty unusual in a 442 (I'll retain all parts of course), it is just a pain to maneuver all the time...and I have other manual steering cars. I believe it comes down to what makes the vehicle most enjoyable to you? Something got you thinking down this path?
