Let's Talk about the 2013 Schedule.

The 2013 Schedule is almost complete. Just waiting on a one track to finalize. This is how we are looking, We have 13 races 10 weekends. Lets hear your thoughts.

I prefer as many two day weekends as practicle. Saves on traveling costs and time. Also there is less likelyhood of a wash out on both days. Of course I have the motor home which eliminates hotel rooms on those long trips. I understand that some of us have to work on one or another weekend day and also have other family obligations. But full weekends are best for me.

I know this has been brought up before, and I know what the answer will be... but for some New England Dragway is very convenient for people in Mass, Rhoad Island, VT, ME, NH, and some parts of CT

Yes, tech inspection is not as easy there, but it's not like there making this stuff up! it will be in the NHRA rule book

It would not be the best for everyone, but to have one or two races there, it would make it easy for Kevin D., Rick P., Tom T., Ryan, Hal, the Lombardi's, Fred M., Buck W., Chris P., and myself

I like a mix of one and two day events!
Two day events are nice early in the season if you want to try things.
Also, i think track rentals are great and think most guys wont mind the added expense!
Could be our own or piggyback with someone!

I would def travel to NED as it could easily be a family affair with the hampton beach area so close!

All good for whatever you put together. For me NED is a stretch for me to drive on my end but it does make sense for the northern most of this group to have something closer to them. :beer

Anyways looking forward to the upcoming season.

So that we are all on the same page. Tech at NE dragway is not different than tech at any of the other tracks we run. For the exception of they don't allow you to run hubcaps. They are fair like all of the other tracks we race at. We have never had an issue with tech at NE dragway. The challenge with NE dragway is, Booking dates that work with the group. You never know maybe we can make something happen in the future.

I will go pretty much anywhere. I haven't been to NED in 20 years. Its a nice facility, closer to home, with no tolls, and a pleasant drive. I'm of two minds. I'm for anything that makes Ralph's life easier. If it brings 6 new cars out, like....... Maybe a FORD! Than maybe there's a way to help facilitate communications. I just have no idea how and really can't think of someone better at it than Ralph. It is a shame we can't get up to NE. Our group would be a draw to their track, races responsibly, and doesn't dump stuff on the track........ Well except Nova windshield trim.. Hehehe. As for multiple race weekends, Hal said it very well. Plus I like movie night. :pop

As it looks right now, The Schedule for 2013 will bring us to E-Town for 4 Races, Cecil for 3 Races, LVD for 4 Races, Atco for 2 Races. More feedback, please :pop

Two Trips, Three Races. It's alot, but its a quick track.
