Even though Legendary sent the wrong seat covers initially, we received the correct ones just a few days later. Just in time for the temp to drop into the single digits. Bill said the had to work on things inside the house so that's why he got them done during the week but I know better.... Like a little kid on Christmas! Just a few posts ago you will find them in the original condition we got them in, brown velvet. Here is what they look like now!

So at 9:00AM this morning 1-26-13, after blowing off the light snow that fell last night, the 06 Charger was carefully backed out of the garage and the propane heater fired up. 6 hours later we had completed new carpet, rear seat installed, console installed and both front buckets in place. The door sills are on the drivers side to finish up that side.

Tomorrow, 1-27-13 will be a busy day. Before heading up to the Champ Celebration Party the passenger side will be finished. Also starting on the trim. Wheel lip molding getting prettied up to be installed. Stripes are here so keep your fingers crossed that within the next 2 weeks the weather will get warmer so we can fire up the heater in the garage and install them....

Wow time is flying by... It'll be April before we know it! Been a while since I've updated our progress too.. Well, despite Mother Nature's best attempt to derail with Nemo, work still continues on the RR. Marotta's is 2 weeks from today and I believe we are now in show shape! Race ready is another thing, need to do some engine and exhaust work, but she's at least looking pretty. With a residual of about a foot of snow still all around him, Bill managed to get the striping done. We've got heaters running in the garage over the weekend to allow the vinyl to cure but it's looking pretty good if I do say so! Bill really did do an awesome job getting it done in just over 5 hours yesterday. He finished up some minor detailing like the small badges today and she's ready to rock and roll..... Here's the latest!

What's with the GTX Roadrunner? Not being a MOPAR guy, I thought they were two different option packages with the GTX having the 440 as the base engine and more upscale trim. What year is this car 73, 74? What is the factory HP for this year? Nice work Bill. :aok

It's a 1974. In 74 the Road Runner with the 440 upgrade was double badged, Road Runner/GTX. They stopped production mid year due to the gas problems... In earlier years you are correct, Road Runner and GTX were two different cars/option packages...

Well it's been a while since an update post so it's time for current info... For those of you that were at the Ice Breaker (or read the updates), G2 took her maiden runs down the track.... She was running mid 16s..
Since then the headers have been taken off and a new exhaust installed courtesy of Mr. Atwood...
Some more cosmetic changes have been made as well....
Tried really hard to get her out a second time at LVD but alas Mother Nature is just not that accommodating this year.
The plan is to try again at Cecil.... Still need to get some driver time in and see where we can go from here.
Or....... Maybe it is time that G2 get's a sister?????????
:stir
