Just got through waiting in line at the gas station only to find out they were sold out of regular, but they still had diesel and super. So after spending most of the day moving patio furniture, getting gas, picking up the generator, etc. I think were ready, they also cancelled school for the kids

Stay Safe and Good Luck Everyone :aok

School canceled here too...and my work office in Wallingford, ct closed as well. Guess I'm staying home. If electricitys on I will be looking for another 10th..
Chances are it will go out as it goes out every time the breeze blows or a hard rain.

Stay safe everyone...
Ryan

It is amazing how much stuff ends up outside during the summer. Lots of flower pots, deck furniture, and misc stuff. Got most of the cars inside, filled up the motorhome gas, water. Changed the oil and filter in the generator. Canceled work for tomorrow. Be safe everyone.

Shawn, I hear you are an avid surfer but there may be waves like in Point Break tomorrow. I suggest you stay inside dude.

Looking to be a busy storms. I have extra log loader crews coming up from Tennessee and Florida. Moved and placed 3,000 sand bags at various commercial properties and we got all the equipment ready to roll. It is going to be a long and dangerous storm to say the least and we will be out working in it as necessary. So everyone stay in if possible and most important of all be safe.

I was informed friday at noon that I'm on stand-by storm duty...... 12 hour shifts 7pm to 7am starting sunday evening. Need to be here to keep the lights on in N.Y.C.!!!! got all my yard work done yesterday... be safe and don't go out if you don't need to. AND DON'T TOUCH ANY OVER-HEAD LINES THAT ARE DOWN, JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT SPARKING AROUND ON THE GROUND LIKE THEY DO IN THE MOVIES DOES NOT MEAN THE ARE NOT ALIVE.

Still no power. We have been running the noisy generator on the RV off and on all week. It is very fustrating to see lights on 3 miles from home and power trucks on my road but no power. :bang

But. I suppose we are in much better shape than people along the coast. Attwood are you OK in Old Saybrook?

Ditto to what Ralph said. We have room in the house, a big RV, a generator that can be borrowed and a 30 HP diesel tractor with a loader, a rear plow, a rear rake and a PTO driven wood chipper. Let me know if we or something we have can help you as we never lost power.

I talked to Joe (71 Cuda). He is doing fine, no power. Joe said he may be out for another week. Steve (68 GTX) is in the same boat. E-Town is without power. The State of NJ is hurting real bad. If anyone is in need please call.

Got power back thurs.
But had a gen so it wasnt bad!
No real damage in the yard, and work has been nuts providing propane to hundreds of people with standby generators!
However,
We lost two teen boys in our town when a tree fell on their house!
A very sad week for north salem ny!
The mother of one boy was a classmate of mine since kindergarten!

Please survey your property for dangerous trees and take solid shelter when they tell you!

If anyone needs anything just ask!

Got lucky, never lost power, minimal rain, but lots of wind damage down here in Philly and Bucks. The chainsaw is getting a workout. Hope everyone is safe.
