It was a pleasure meeting you all at the April supercar races at etown.
It Was fun running the Camaro. I also wanted to share my other hemi prowler project.
You guys know what it takes to really build a good working car, this one is very complexed being such a limited production car and a custom project.

Now this post breaks all supercar rules, not a classic muscle car, not stock, but should be fast. It does have a retro look!! Ha ha.

Ralph mentioned its worth a post

The story
I have been a proud prowler owner for over 11 years. I absolutely love the car it's style, the thumbs up and overall design. To this day there isn't another car that I see that looks so good and is so unique.

Being just a weekend car I have always Wanted to keep the thrill of good looks with the power to match and its the only thing that has fell short to me over time.
Every article says it should have had a v8 but it's still the best.

I added gears, intake, headers and still always wanted a bit more.
After that started drag racing for fun and everyone loved the ride but always fell short on 3rd and 4th gear but still fun

And even did a road course track day at Englishtown raceway in NJ.

The biggest moment was a dyno day in flordia with a car club everyone was so excited about the prowler and even with all my mods only scored 196 hp to the wheels which I felt a bit down vs the other cars everyday cars pushing closer to 300hp,

Since this time started exploring all options to put power into the Kat from Twin turbos, to superchargers to 4.2 strokers to the dream 5.0.

Then After many years of review decided to go with the second big boy hemi 6.1 srt V8 conversion with performance innovations.

See the details of number 1 here

There is no replacement for displacement the Srt-8 packs
425hp at 6000rpm. 420 ft lb torque at 4800 in car that will be over 1400 lbs lighter than its brother challenger or charger. A big decision that kicked off in october.

WOW

What is the weight difference between motors? Will the front suspension require modification? Will it go 12s?

New hemi is about 80lbs more. Its Like having a little one in the front seat.
Suspension is pretty good koni. Reverse inners.
It is all allumium chassis

Look in The picture in the nose. Battery,
Small sway bar and the shocks on the inside
Since the wheels stick out
Image

They had no problems at all with the support on the first one.

Mid 12's is The target. Stock 6.1 challengers ran englishtown
60 mph in 5.1 seconds and completed the quarter-mile in 13.2 seconds at 107.5 mph.
These cars weight about 4500 lbs

Prowler weighs around 2880 lbs with the extra 80lbs.
So if we can keep the wheels down should be good.
We will see and do plan to run the track.

First public showing we are targeting for the Chrysler nationals in pa 7/6.
Ralph hopefully will see you under the tent!
Trey
