Well good day yesterday but what I have been feeling for awhile my clutch was slipping. I was using a ram power force. I drive my car on the street also. Maybe 20k on it at the most. I would like to get more life at of a dual purpose clutch. Any suggestions on what to use that will hold up on the street and strip

With those tires, i would say any clutch would be fine dom.

I had stock stuff in my LS6 chevelle when i was running it!

Besides a little slippage prob helps! Lol

I use a Center Force dual disc with centrifugal weights. Very nice on the street, easy pedal but as rpm increases so does clamping force.

Center Force dual friction disc is the only way to go. Don't make the mistake of not using a Center Force dual friction disc .

Dom, I started out with a center force dual friction, then switched to the ram set-up, may try the turbo-hydro after I get my $h!t togehter....The problem I found with the center force, it engauged way too high for my liking, no matter how I adjusted it!!!

How long did the clutch you have last? I would go simple HD GM with a good flywheel. Mine is still going strong after 100 plus runs with 427cu in in a 4200 lb car. Unless you plan on going to big cu. in. Why over think it?

Good point hal, theres more to gain with the flywheel than the clutch!

I would get a light weight flywheel and find lightest clutch assy!

True. My point is the last clutch maybe had 50 passes on it and about 20k miles. I can't say the ram clutch setup really lasted that long. I am still going to keep the flywheel which is sfi rated by Ram. But from this board and yellow bullet the consensus is center force or McLeod

So I just want to ge the best bang for my buck. I have been having some good progress and just want to keep it going

I would stay away from a light aluminun flywheel in Dom's case. Not the lightest car with limited torque could be bog city, even with small tires.

I agree. Aluminum I will keep away from since I drive this regularly on the street. Also the fact my flywheel is only 3 years old and is sfi rated.
