Post subject:  68 Charger Rebuild

As stated in an earlier thread my brother Mark's wife Samantha wants us to rebuild his 68 Charger RT for his 40th birthday. We have been trying to figure out how to get the car from him where out of nowhere :bow Mark mentioned that he wanted to get it running so he could move it around due to the fact they are moving to another house. Brian the one with the 70 Roadrunner and I went over took a look and told him that there was a major mechanical issues with the car not starting and that we would have to bring it into the shop. So today we borrowed a flatbed went and got the car. What made me laugh is Mark had a big smile  on him that we were going to get it running again, little does he know. So the the rebuild begins. My goal is to put it back together and have hime come out and race the car since he has expressed some interest in our class of racing. :runaway

I will be posting pictures of the build as we go along. Hopefully he will comeout in the fall
:-D

Almost forgot some basic stats on this car.
440 Automatic with factory air, factory optional front disc brakes

On the inside the only one I have seen of that year is a column shifter with a bench seat

Well this week we had a little time to take the car apart. Brian my brother took the flatbed and brought the car over to Kenny's house for the rust repair where we are installing new floor panels and some other misc. items.

Thanks. Shawn I like the bullit refernece. Still confused on how they lost 5 hubcaps on that Charger and they kept reappearing on the car. That was a good all around movie from the chase to the plot to the actors :nuts :nuts
