I think you are correct about 20 of the z11 were classified as a COPO versus the remaining 30 plus or minus were considered RPO.

Incorrect. The first year for the COPO to be used to comission the 427 was 1966 (corrected) in the Biscayne.

Ralph You have bad info. The only 427s offered in the 67 full size was the RPO 385hp oval port. There was not a single L72 or tri-power equipped car ever built. The tri-power motor was intended for production and even is detailed in the service manual, but never built. There are two cars around that are claimed to be COPO L72s but neither is documented. One was that blue car that was featured in Hemming Muscle machines awhile back but it is bogus and we guys in the know can tell it was originally a 396 auto. That same car was at one of the big auctions this winter claiming to be a legit COPO. The other was on the Chevy forums awhile back claimed to have been built for a GM Executive. Even the L72 Camaros from 1967 were dealer installed.

Shawn 66 full size 427s were RPO 385hp and 425hp. There were no COPO performance packages.
