So the saga continues. I ordered my tires for the RR from Summit with a delivery day of Monday. The payment when through last night so I thought they were shipped. This afternoon I check the email to see that they are now back ordered until at least the 28 th. WTF. And even still now they have their ad up on ebay saying the have two sets in stock.

Bill

Bill call Summitt and get a real ship date. Let them know about the Ebay add. Summitt has the best price on coker tires. Even with our account we can't buy them cheaper.

Had to go to Meridan today to pick up supplies for work so I figured I'd go look foe Peraults radiator shop. I wrote down the address before I left and headed to my store. Turns out Puraults was 2 doors over. Talked to the owner, he remember Bills Fury radiator, he looked at what I had and said it's an 1 1/4 core and it should've been a two inch. So anyways the core will be in on Wednesday, I'll pull my rad out on Monday night, drop it off Tuesday and get it back before the weekend.
So close to getting out there and playing. The car is such a dream to drive, I take it everywhere. Just a couple of things to get to a point where I feel 100% sure it'll go where I need ti to go then I can start working on the tow rig.

Drove out to Hals place this morning. He generously offered to loan me some "traveling" tires. All the way out there 1 1/2 hours with some sightseeing along the way, the car was fine. Pulling onto Hals street and a rubbing/grinding noise come from the front of the car. We drove the last mile to his house quietly until turning into his drivewayImage
Where it got bad again. Turns out it wasn't a wheel bearing like I thought but just a break shoe retaining rod got loose from its sping. I think my car just didn't cotton too well with all that Chevyness.

At least your timing for going to Hal's worked out great for you with Rosario there. He is a former Holley Dodge mechanic and he is a great mechanic and a great guy.

Glad it was something minor and very glad that you have some safe traveling rubber.

Well, when I got home today I found two of my new tires on my front porch. The G70 firestone don't seem any wider than my F70 goodyears. All I can do is wait till they're mounted and inflated and check again. Image

Not sure I would run that fan that close with the engine torque moving the engine. Hope you have tough motor mounts.
