It may not look much different but this weekend I bolted up the exhaust, put on the starter. Put on a working carb. Attached the ground strap. Put on spark plug wires. Hooked up the transmission kick down linkages. And put on a fan.
Hoping to get a few more small parts and try starting it in the next 4 weeks or so. Then we start getting go fast parts :gears

Put in oil, wired ignition system, bolted on fan and tranny cooler lines. Poured a little gas down the carb, got into the drivers seat, put the key in the ignition, turned it,,, raah raah raah raah, no start. Too cold (17*!) to go tracing wires right now. Maybe this weekend.
