Actually you want the Fuel pressure regulator directly in front of the carburetor. Location is due to safety reasons as per the rulebook.

I don't have a rule book but I thought the rule talked about it being a certain distance from the flywheel.

If you don't have a pump yet, run a Mallory 110 and you don't have to worry about the reg. :wink:

I adjusted the mount I made to keep it from touching the floor and it's much quieter.

Try to avoid 90deg fittings or swivel fittings.

The fuel line has to be on the outside of the frame rail when it passes by the flexplate/flywheel. Im not sure of the distance .

Fuel line are not supposed to be on the firewall.

The stock location for the fuel line places it on the inside of the unibody/frame rail, but protected by the 1.09" torsion bar. If it is outside the frame rail it will be in the wheel well.
