13.01 Traction devices are limited to hop stop bars for upper control arms on coil spring cars

I am not a fan of these.
Have these ever been up for consideration? (in black of course and the vendor stickers removed)
http://umiperformance.com/catalog/index ... ucts_id=28

seeing that they achieve more or less the same results with changing the instant center as No Hops without having to drill the rearend housing,I am hoping they could be an option.
Thanks in advance for the rules committee's consideration.

Are you sure thats the way to go?
Seems like IC would get worse on a stock ride height car?

Basically,IMHO it would depend on where the IC is if it was plotted out.
I do know of someone that races a 427 BBC in a 71 Chevelle that runs bottom 11's @ 117 MPH with a 1.55 60 ft. (on slicks) using these.
If the brackets can help me be in the consistent 1.8X 60 ft. range on the Polyglas,I would be happy.
My 60 ft. is anywhere from 1.89 to 2.20 on the Polyglas tires but with the Hoosiers its always 1.76-1.79 launching at 1400 and then going to WOT instantly.

The problem is they are clearly visable and the no hop bars are not seen!
You can achieve the same results as those with a hidden device so those will not be approved.

There are other ways to get better traction that i would be happy to discuss also if you want to pm me!
Thanks
Ted
