If slowing the cars down becomes necessary , you could always mandate 93 octane max.

I think that is a good point. :rock Maybe if your car runs a certain level tightening up of the regulations would be a possible answer. Part of the supercar attraction to the public is how fast the crew on the top end do get their rides to go. The one thing I have said before is if someone drives their car to a points event that should be recognized. Maybe one point for doing so. Bill D., Jack and others who for years have been driving their race vehicles to the events should be recognized for that. My final point one does not need to have a high powered car to finish high in the points standings. I look at being consistent is rewarded as to the way it stands. This was demonstrated by Bill finishing at #5 this season and myself at #3 a few years ago. I am done with my ramblings and no matter what will be racing next year with this show. :gears

Tightening the rules will hurt the GM products the most. That won't work.

I am thinking we have a great thing and there is no need to change. Who else?

Good point. Like I said I'll go with whatever the decision is. So no change seems to be the best option

Mandating 93 octane would not work for many of the cars in this series, dare I say..... RUN WHAT YA BRUNG !!!

Limiting compression/octane is very a expensive change for the current racers. Also at 408 ci at 11.5 to 1 I should run 11.8ish. Add 100+ cubes and you might not give up that much. Increasing cr increases power but only to a point. Then any gains drops off dramatically. I like it as it is and like running the full 1/4 mile and don't want to see any changes at this time. Would a single 1/8 mile race give some of the mid pack cars a chance to slay a dragon or two! Sure!

how about a little aggressive recruiting so there may most times be two quick 8s. everyone wins that way! All brand loyalty aside it would be great to see some fords and Buicks and more Pontiacs and oldsmobiles out there.

I think what Greg is trying to say is that he wants to see a lower percentage of Mopars at any given race. :stir :stir

I can't agree more. This is everyone responsibilty to recruit n get your buddy or enthusiast interested to take part in the series. This year we reached and had 76 different racers take part in the series. A big part of the increase was do to Bill DiCicco taking the lead at events we raced at and also handing out flyers at every event he personaly attended. Big thanks to Bill and the others that helped with car count this year.

I think we need more factory race cars like awb afx, heads up :rock lol

I also think if it's not broke don't fix it. At most the points go to the driver not the car.

In the records thread it is interesting that 12 cars are listed with 13.99 ET's or slower.

While I only attended one race this past season, I did follow all the races here and on Facebook and it looks like most of those 12 cars are newcomers. Hopefully the newcomers will attend multiple races next year for more competition.

I like the idea of the points going to the driver, not the car. This would be beneficial to the all racers running multiple cars, instead of a penalty, so to speak.

Not a bad idea. I would be more likely to attend more events.

I have to disagree, I think a car's durability is important. If a car breaks its points are limited.
