I was just over at the F.A.S.T. site and noticed that their rules now allow for the conversion of stick only cars to automatics. Would the rules committee consider this change for Supercars? A rules change would open the door for many original solid lifter Chevy and Ford cars made prior to 1968 to go Automatic making them more competitive in this series and also possibly increase car count. I myself passed on building my 67 Belair into a rectangular port big block because I did not want to deal with the inconsistency and unreliability of a stick. |

Us chevy guys are certainly handcuffed by cylinder heads and intakes if you want to run an automatic. it further narrows the weapon of choice to 68 and later vehicles. We need more non MOPARS that aren't novas and camaros. I'd have loved to build a 66 biscayne with a big block auto combo. |

I am thinking about a big block auto for my Belair if only for the occasional F.A.S.T. Race and cruizin. I already have the parts needed. But one project at a time. |

I think drivetrain should stay as intended like the rules say, however, i believe the components should have lee way as we have done with heads and blocks and rears! Less rules but higher standards makes for a fun, great series! Figure out how to use your weapon or pick a diff one! Just my opinion guys! |
