Not having alot of experience with power steering and being jr's car is a street build we put it in!
Problem: it doesnt work!
Theres fluid and i believe its hooked up right!
Does it need to be bled???
Is there an adjustment to a press reg???

Any advice before i start making a mess would be great!
Thanks
Ted

Should be a plug and play deal. In a Chrysler you fill it and forget it till it leaks then fill it again :cheers . Did you put the belt on :shrug ? Is it the correct pump for the car? Do you see fluid moving thru? Is it foaming up? More info :pop This sounds like a problem for Billy to chime in on or Hal :pop

is it a new pump? If so is it like mopar unit where you reused your old resvoir ? yes they need to be bled.. with engine runing turn wheel lock to lock. 4 or 5 times. i bought a new pump and had to swap the pressure relief valve ovver from the old pump. at first all it did was cycle the fluid within the pump before i noticed the difference in the pumps

looking at pictures of the gm pump I don't think your missing the pressure relief. it wouldnt hold fluid without it.

Those thing just work. Fill it, Start it up, turn the wheel side to side, shut it off, check fluid level, and drive it. Sounds like an internal pump problem. I would bring the pump back and get another one.
