Ok, My best 60' has been 1.77 with a 3.73 gear, the car weighs 3616 lbs with me in it,
tires are f70-14 redlines at 26lbs, the engine when originally built and run on the dyno made
467 hp at 5800 rpm and 510 ft/lbs at 4800 rpm, but there has been a cam and carb change since. My converter is a 9 1/2" ptc converter that I know nothing about other than when it was made ptc knew what I was trying to do with the car. It flashes to about 3500, I think my car falls into an area of just enough power to turn an alright 60',but not enough to make it really difficult to hook up. The shift from 1st to 2nd is uneventful due to power level. I have tried to launch the car in many ways, from idle, both easing in and just flooring it. I have also tried to load the converter to about 3000 rpm and changed how I apply the throttle from just going all in, to holding the throttle steady and just release the brake and when the nose drops a touch go to full throttle, or what I currently do. I load the converter to about 3000 rpm, as fast as i can i put it to the floor and immediately come all the way off the throttle, then right back full, the tires spin two three times and hook. This seems to be the most consistent and quickest.
